Job opportunities?

Thread starter #1
Hi all, I will just start here & ask how you guys are finding the current job market? It would seem the jobs are few & far between. When you do find them they expect you to take as little as possible & give as much as possible in time & experience? How are you guys finding things?

For me as a CH47 loadmaster the civilian job market is quit difficult to get into. We have a SAR / offshore windmill market but without hoisting experience it’s almost impossible. Now looking for companies that have hoist operator training programs, so if you know some please let me know.

Hi Jos47, we do do hoist training here in Cape Town on our own helicopter. But as we are not as regulated in this we make up our own courses & standards as best we can afford on the company time. There are guys in Europe that do give extensive hoist training but that is to the there standards & may be rather pricey. As for getting hoist training in the USA i really have no idea?
